washington, idaho and montana. check.

Tonight we find ourselves resting for the night in beautiful Bozeman, Montana.  It was a long day of driving.  Thank goodness though, for the beautiful scenery.  Oh, and for movies in the car for the kids.

A first stop at McDonald's for important morning Diet Cokes...

20 minutes into our drive, we reach Idaho {impressive I know}.  The north panhandle of Idaho is so pretty and green...

Before we know it, we're in Montana!  And Montana seems to last forever....

What I love about a cross-country drive is the changing scenery.  There are so many beautiful landscapes to explore from state to state.  And during this time of year, there is always the added excitement of thunderstorms looming ahead.  Today we were lucky enough to spy lightening as we drove under giant, dark clouds.  Love that stuff.
Tomorrow we are off to Yellowstone National Park - a first for everyone but myself!  But for now, it's time to get some rest.  I am ti-red.

*My heart goes out to the victims and families in Aurora, Colorado tonight.  I cannot even begin to imagine the grief.

  1. I hope you guys have a safe drive!

  2. What a gorgeous view you have as you travel! Exciting roads ahead! :)

Thinking about leaving a comment? That would be so awesome! In fact, you are so awesome!
