pennsylvania on my mind.

As things start slowing down here, I am really looking forward to getting to know the Pittsburgh area, as well as all of Pennsylvania.  With all of the green, leafy trees, I just know Autumn is going to be spectacular and I can't wait!

Tonight I'm going to peek through my book and come up with a to-visit list.
Any suggestions?

  1. I found your blog from the "Like Mother Like Daughter" Thursday link-up and have been interested in following your journey; as I live a few hours from Pittsburgh, in Erie. I hope you guys enjoy your new neighborhood! The beaches at Presque Isle up here in Erie are really nice - and are open till Labor Day. :-)

  2. I am so excited to see all of your adventures in Pennslyvania! My sister used to live in Lancaster (pretty amish country) and so we did some visiting around there. I am not an expert, but things we really enjoyed: The Harley Davidson factory tour (my husband is a motorcycle rider, but it is pretty cool); Hershey Chocolate world and amusement park (neat town too): I am a huge history buff so I loved Gettysburg and visiting the historical sites in Philly. Also, growing up in the Midwest and now living in Texas, towns are just different on the east coast. I loved just walking around Philly and soaking up the city. You have to eat a cheesesteak (I like Pat's), but it is also neat to just walk around and then stumble upon little historical things in the middle of the city. I think we stumbled upon Benjamin Franklin's old house site - the house was torn down, but it seemed liked they had excavated some that was left underground and you could look down these glass openings to see it, I think that stuff is pretty awesome! Also the Liberty Bell and Independence Hall is pretty cool too. I'll have to ask my sister what her favorite thing to do in Pennslyvania was. I am curious to know myself! Have fun exploring :)
