covered bridges of pennsylvania, part one.

To continue the theme of "getting lost" I bring you The Covered Bridge Tour: Day One.  This was only meant to be a one-day tour, but sometimes plans just don't work out the way you expect them to.  I mean, who really sets out to be lost the whole day?  That's kind of a dumb plan.  And yet, that's how it went.  We followed a map and directions displayed in a very nice tourism brochure, meant for covered bridge enthusiasts.  The tour began at one bridge and then guided us to stay on a strict route, as to see all of the area bridges in a certain order and not have to backtrack.  For the first four bridges, it worked out pretty well.  And after that, we started to notice that certain things were missing, that prevented us from being able to continue in a successful fashion.  Important things like street names on the map, street signs on the roads, cellular service, people to ask for help, and navigational prowess had all disappeared from our tour.  Yet we still had our persistence about us and drive onward we did, to no avail.  But what we did see, was adorable.  And the talking and the laughing - priceless.

Who needs a tripod, really?

Oh stop.

If she'd have kept on going down that way, she'd have gone straight to the castle.

It was a beautiful day to see the bridges!  And what we didn't see the first day, we totally made up for on the second!

Next Post - Day Two!
