the birthday girl makes cherry-limeade.

I think we are getting excited about chef-ery in this house.  We've been spending most evenings in the kitchen, the kids offering to help me make dinner or treats.  Most surprisingly though, is that they are also asking if they can make stuff on their own.  How can I say no to that?  McKenna stuck by my side, as my loyal assistant, through the doughnut fiasco and last night she followed the Pioneer Woman's recipe for cherry-limeade all by herself {from the photos, I think she liked it, don't you?}.  Jackson prepared a wonderful buffalo chicken dip that he learned how to make in his cooking class and that boy also made his little sister's birthday cake {without help}.  Needless to say, we are enjoying some good eats these days and everyone is getting involved... Husband is happy to help eat the stuff and Elyssa is kind enough to polish off the left-overs.  We all try to do our part, of course.

    1. The drink was good but it could've used a little less sugar. It was crazy sweet. :)
